Thank You!

We want to give a shout out to a great community member who donated an exciting item to The Lab already this fall. Thanks to Steve from South Minneapolis who donated and delivered a quality Drum Kit set to The Lab's musical instrument inventory. Now we can add Drum Set Lessons to the possible mentorships for our students. We currently have 3 pianos and/or keyboards, 1 guitar and 7 African Drums for lessons at The Lab.  Let your students know that music lessons are available at The Lab!

New Lab Offerings Coming Soon!

There are many new offerings being developed in the Wellness Lab this year for our students. Thanks to Kathy Flaminio of 1000 Petals (www.1000-petals.com) and her connection/donation of 7 Spinning Bikes to our Wellness Lab, we look forward to getting youth on spinning bikes this year.  Kathy will take youth on a journey in their bodies and minds to bolster their fitness, mindfulness, lessons in goal setting, persistence and achieving their goals.  This year, we will offer more Yoga, meditation, cooking, gardening and nutrition groups this year.

There will be more action happening in our Poetry Lab/Recording Studio too.  Thanks to some new guest artists, volunteers and interns, including Patrick Pegg, Jamal and Charlie Rudoy, youth will have a chance to enter the creative world of DJ'ing, Beat-Making and continued work with garage band.
